Dominic R. Serio

Dominic was born and raised in Ellicott City, Maryland where he graduated from Mt. St. Joseph High School. As a junior in high school, he experienced the loss of his mother and father. Thankfully, his parents had arranged a financially responsible and purposeful action plan for his future. Because of this, despite the unfortunate and unforeseen circumstances, his daily life remained as consistent as possible. He was supported by the stability of remaining at the same Catholic high school and by friends who became a part of his family.

 Dominic is confident that his knowledge, experience, and passion will assist individuals, families, and business owners make their own personalized and responsible action plan for their future. As a Chartered Federal Employee Benefits Consultant℠, Dominic specializes in working with Federal Employees with regard to their Civil Service Retirement System (CSRS), CSRS offset, Federal Employee Retirement System (FERS) pension and survivor elections, Social Security maximization, FEGLI and FEHB costs and benefits, TSP Withdrawal Options & Retirement Planning, and First Year in Retirement Income Projection.

 Dominic is an avid Baltimore sports fan. He enjoys spending time with his friends and family, attending Ravens and Orioles games, and enjoying Baltimore’s restaurants.  He has volunteered with Comfort Zone Camp, a bereavement camp for children ages 7-17 who have either lost a parent, sibling, or caregiver. He was recognized with the GameChanger award through the Ulman Cancer Fund for Young Adults. Dominic resides with his wife and their three children in Northern Baltimore County.

 Dominic earned a degree in Business Management from Washington College, where he competed on the Varsity lacrosse team and was honored with the Charlie Moloney Award for leadership and character. He continues to serve on the college’s lacrosse alumni council.
